Aftermath

After our disaster...

... we managed to finish our website (the 2nd time). It was just lacking some of the transitions and sound effects as we did not have enough time to do that, but we did not really care at that point: as long the website is done, we'll survive, LOL.

The feedbacks we got were:
- sound effects should be added
- proper transitions
- perhaps a proper explanation on the photos (maybe put captions or the info on our page should emphasis on the photos more clearly)
- Mr Peter mentioned about putting the pictures in the middle (in other words, putting it in the centre manually does not work, especially if it's going to be a real website. Been told to get the template from KinWeng.)
- Pn Safinas mentioned about in the near future, we should add something that the viewer can interact with the website, just to encourage them to stay on the website.
- Other than that... simple and clean, direct concept... they like~!! :D :D

We just need to touch up on our site and we're good to go!
I would really like to say thanks to YinTeng and TzePei to give me this opportunity to work with them. It was really a fun experience doing this project together that I'll never forget. Thanks guys.. you're the best :)

CRASHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

We were trying to export out the flash file in swf format.
But it failed to do so.
Later looking for solutions online, we stumbled across on how people can't export their files because the files in the library are corrupted.

Surely enough, half of our files are corrupted.
We have no idea how that happened, gonna ask one of the lecturers when we get to school.

It's 6am, the day of submission.
5 more hours to rebuild our website

Night Owls

Work work work...

We're all camping at YinTeng's house til the deadline arrives. 30 more hours to deadline!!!! GOSH! And we still have so much to do T____T

lil perks YinTeng left on our list, lol

Major parts like the introduction, homepage and the category pages are done though. We're left with the info pages and photo pop ups.

If any of my classmates are this, stay strong and work hard! Remember, we're all in this togetherrrrr~~~ [inserts lame High School Musical song]

Last Tutorial

We had our tutorial with Mr Peter this afternoon...

We showed him the homepage plus some of the category pages, the contact us page, the info page and also the pop ups of our photos. We also showed how each page is transited, along with some rough ideas thrown in here and there.

He likes what we have done so far, woohoo! *breathes out*

He suggested to have some colour for the rollovers if we want to, but it was also fine if we decide to go colourless as we find it abit distracting sometimes.
We had problems with the sound settings and he managed to solve them. We also had some issues regarding a scrolled text box so he taught us how to make one.

Progress is a lil slow... but we're getting there! :D

we're up and searching for the sound effects to be used for the site.
for the buttons and (probably) the site transitions too.

there's millions of sounds out there.
and if you think you are the right sound,
please.. come to us.

take a hit and go

rollovers and drawings for our site are constantly developed
as we work through the flash site.

we've been trying out quite some different ways to approach
the animation,. transition and the way the drawings moves.

at the same time, the photos that are being used for the site
is also in the process of selection.
we've yet to nail down which photos are to be up to the site though.

..the myth of fonts

so now,
we're exploring different methods (try outs)
to get the right way round for the website
basically,everyone of us working on our given tasks
and at the end of the day,
our work will be combined and make it as one ;)

earlier on,
we've been trying to determine the font that we're going to use for our web page,
so we done some try outs,
finally decided on handwritting font- Manjiro for the header in the homepage
as it gives a youthful appearance to work well with our concept.

as for our infomation text in the web,
we set MyriadPro as sans-seirf fonts are the most appropriate family for a webpage.

The MIST!

finally, our last stop - MIST club located at Jalan Liku
its at Bangsar,KL and its the biggest club in Bangsar area
known as the hottest spot for nightlife around that area as well.

they have a double-storey sleek interior and a stage.

the space is big enough to fit in the crowd.

(which explains why known as the biggest club in bangsar area)

yeah,done with outing sessions.shall move on to the further development ;)

and so it was the Golden Triangle

we actually went to photograph the Golden Triangle on d 27th of December
in search of the signboard and the allocated attractions. TEEHEE.

now all there's left is Jalan Liku. at night.
now THAT's a challenge. :/
